Proud Club Moment as Rolleston Trio Give Back Through Refereeing
Rolleston Rugby Club is celebrating a proud milestone after three young men with strong and long-standing connections to our club took to the field as referees at the Intermediate Finals Day at Waihora.
Liam, Nic, and Flynn were each entrusted with officiating one of the day's championship fixtures, with Liam taking charge of the U18 Final, Nic refereeing the U16 Final, and Flynn overseeing the U14 Final.
All three have been part of the Rolleston Rugby Club family for many years and have contributed to the club in a variety of ways throughout their rugby journey. Seeing them now step into refereeing roles and help support the next generation of players is a fantastic example of giving back to the game.
Referees play an essential role in rugby, and it is wonderful to see young people from our club taking on the challenge, developing their skills, and contributing positively to the sport they love.
